Voices of UC — Key Findings

Voices of UC is the newest survey of more than 1,000 people living with ulcerative colitis (UC). It showed that the disease not only has physical effects, but also a direct impact on the overall well-being of those living with the disease.

Key findings among survey respondents with UC included:

• Strains on family and social life
• Challenges to work life
• Unmet needs among patients in the areas of diagnosis
• A need for better education of caregivers, families, friends and co-workers
  

The Voices of UC survey was conducted by Manhattan Research on behalf of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and sponsored by Centocor Ortho Biotech Inc.
